It's the song on the radio that reminds you of what you had and what you lost.
It's the smile that a baby gives when she is genuinely happy.
It's the sound of a laugh from someone who hasn't laughed in a long, long time.
It's the friend who still remembers you even if you call after fifteen years.
It's the last piece of chocolate saved for you in a box you thought was empty.
It's the gift that is exactly what you needed, when you needed it.
It's the two hour ride across town, just so she can see you before she leaves.
It's the dog who waits for you to come home, just to give you all the affection in the world.
It's the companionship one feels in silence when they have found their best friend.
It's the feeling of a warm blanket someone put on you after you fell asleep.
It's the boy who does the stupidest things in the world, just to see you laugh.
It's the girl who kisses you the way she has never ever kissed anyone before.
It's the woman who gives up her seat on the train to the old lady with a limp.
It's the man who helped a scared fifteen year old fix her broken down car.
It's the warmth you find in the arms of someone who truly loves you.
It's the very last inch of our most wonderful form of insanity.

It's also the forgiveness in my heart for the wound you left to heal.
It's also the way I would still die a thousand deaths, just to see you smile.
It's also the tears I hide inside my blanket, just so you can't hear me cry.

It's love. And it just won't leave me the hell alone.
100 themes: love

Sometimes a broken heart doesn't really heal at all.

"It's also the tears I hide inside my blanket, just so you can't hear me cry." He didn't know my love was unconditional and he still doesn't know. Wish I didn't know either -_-;

This is another one of those spooky pieces that sounds exactly like my thoughts. Very nicely done.

"It's the companionship one feels in silence when they have found their best friend"

I never knew that feeling until last year when I realised I DID have a best friend. Just not the: phone each other everyday, buy each other bracelets, have a sleepover kind of best friend, that I thought I'd have when I was little. But the kind of best kind of friend, where you can just look at each other and have a 10 minute conversation in the blink of an eye. :giggle: it was wonderful!

SIGHH. LOVE. I don't think I've ever felt it. Or maybe I just haven't NOTICED that I've felt it yet. But I have an inkling of what it must be like! Makes you feel giddy with joy, and puke-your-guts-out sad...according to every song and every poem about love I've ever heard.:giggle:

You'll be okay. I know so! I think everybody on earth has had their heart broken in one way or another, but they get by (with a little help from their friends). Unless they don' which case. It's very sad. But that's not the point! :ninja: You're made of steel! STEEL! and Iron! IRON!

That's true actually! You have iron in your blood, anyway. Which means you also have iron in your HEART. which means you have a HEART OF IRON. which makes you IRON WOMAN. accomplice to IRON MAN. Who was REALLY STRONG, thus proving that you WILL be okay in the end.

The line about the Dog caught me. Are you familiar with the horrifyingly beautiful story of Hachiko, the Akita who quite literally died of a broken heart, after waiting for 9 years at the train-station that his master(who passed away) would meet him at daily?

Im sorry for faving all of your stuff! I swear im just going through my inbox that is in sore need of being emptied, adn your stack (one ive been looking forward to) finally showed up.

This is a wonderful piece. Its just so true and everyone can relate to it in some way. Thats something most important in a poem- empathy. And you could make the most heartless person cry over something that its never felt before.
