She asked him gently, “Do you love me?”
In his long silence, she found closure,
And left her love under a willow tree.
Sometimes, it is the simple questions that give us the answers that are most difficult to bear.

Let your burden go.

You deserve better.

I found better in K. But it took a lot of hurt before I could be happy with him again. I am blessed to have someone like K to have made it easy.

Plot twist: the willow tree was Groot and he left her for it.

I :+fav: ed this work twice. I mean... its so wonderfully written. I am unable to honestly put in words what I genuinely felt from this. I mean... the point you have portrayed in this poem, not to mention the way you've kept it subtle, but still really warm, works for the better of this work. It honestly does. the willow tree symbolism used in this poem, works really well in my opinion - as if you had been meditating for so long, that you finally found closure in yourself, the love being offered, and coming back full circle to what it genuinely means to find... some sort of satisfaction in knowing that the past is not going to come back unless you let it.

Wonderful work. Honestly.

This short poem holds priceless advice... Love it. And I'm very happy for you, it's only after you've found someone like that that you realise how life should actually be.
